So, 2020 is a massive bummer. It truly is. That being said, things are beginning to look a little brighter. Lockdown is easing and normality is slowly creeping back in, fingers crossed we stay on this trajectory.
Looking forward, I aim to continue shooting weddings in whatever form they may take. The government guidelines state that from 15 July, marriage ceremonies and civil partnership numbers will be limited to 20 and physical distancing will be in place. This change to the restrictions only applies to the ceremonies and registrations. Related gatherings – such as receptions - must continue to follow the limits on household meetings and hospitality.
If you decide to have a small wedding in your home then having your day filmed means being able to share it with all the guests you couldn't invite. When lockdown ends completely (and it bloody well effing will) you'll be able to throw the party you couldn't have in 2020 with a giant projector screen showing your lockdown wedding on loop for all your guests to see.
I have a few lockdown home weddings coming up in August and September so once I have them filmed and edited you'll get to see just how beautiful an intimate wedding can be. As far as pricing goes, being a shorter day the price will be less than my standard package prices so please get in touch to discuss your intimate wedding plans and I can send you a quote.
